Gabriella Kershner, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (license #074582) serving the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City area, specializing in individual, couples and family therapy. Gabriella has served a broad spectrum of clients, using a collaborative and integrative approach, specializing in solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and walk and talk therapy. Gabriella integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. In 2005, Gabriella earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio, with a concentration in Sociology. In 2009, Gabriella obtained training at the UCLA campus for her Life Coaching certification from the Burris Institute in Los Angeles, California. In 2014, she earned a Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling. Throughout her college years, she was a mentor and youth counselor/leader at Cornerstone Christian Church, in San Antonio, TX, where she helped her youth group obtain insight, resources, and meet daily life challenges concerning various mental, emotional and spiritual issues. Gabriella is an active member of the American Counseling Association. Gabriella also volunteers her time and counseling services at the Eagle Point Rehab facility as well as the YWCA in Clinton, Iowa.
